They said he should get some help...?

my cousin is only 3 years old and his parents sent him to a bible summer camp thing. the camp kicked him out and said that he needed a psychiatrist because he couldn't sit quietly like the rest of the kids.

my question is this:

isn't it normal for kids his age to be rowdy? isn't that healthy? shouldn't it be unhealthy if kids sit there and do nothing, showing no personality.

i've seen my little cousin and i know he doesn't need to see a psychiatrist. are there any websites or any stats to prove that he's a healthy child? because this is total bull. i was a crazyyy kid and now i'm a straight A student who's never gotten a detention.

thanks, i'd appreciate any help=]
Answer:
They key here is bible camp. Who cares what they think. Most of them will not know who Jesus is even on judgement day. I find it hard to believe that a child that young can be said to have a mental disorder that young (unless it is profound) What till the kids starts school and get some feed back from the teachers, who are trained to know about such problems.
i wouldn't worry about it. i mean, the kid's three.
It is normal for a three year old to want to run around, why on earth would the parents send a 3 year old to a bible camp anyways?? My daughter is 2 1/2 and she never stops going, and she is 100% normal. The person that said your cousin needs a psychiatrist should hardly be running a camp.

Kids that age usually find it very difficult to sit still, but parents have to work very hard to "train" them to listen, obey, and have respect. I doubt he needs a psychiatrist- I'd suspect his parents could use some parenting classes.
I have three kids of my own and I always wondered why people talked more about the 'terrible twos' than the 'terrifying threes.' Healthy three-year-olds are very active indeed. A three-year-old child doesn't need to see a psychiatrist because he can't sit still and quiet. Was there more to it than that?
It's perfectly normal. I think the worst is that he may have a hyperactive disorder or have trouble focusing. These problems are extremely common and very treatable. Just don't try to control his mind but don't ignore the problem either.
