have a friend who is ill with this horrible illness. What is the most important thing for recovery?
Serious answers please
Answer:
(1) The highest quality treatment team , level (e.g., residential or inpatient) of treatment, and length of treatment that her family can reasonably afford.
(2) Development of a rock solid plan of aftercare
(3) Estabilishment of a support network including friends, family, school officials (if a minor) and others.
be there.dont constantly talk about the issue.and dont push them.take one step at a time...if they only eat a little it is better than nothing dont push them to eat more than they are ready to eat...but make sure they dont skip too often.
good luck:D
support. if they are getting help, then all they need is support and encouragement. only talk good about their wieght and looks. and then dont talk about the weight too much because that is their problem. try to stay away from the subject and talk about other things, then their mind is not on their wieght and they wont think about that problem. but also research the disorder and learn and understand it, that way you can support them better and help them through this disorder. also, anorexia could turn into bulimia (dont understand the difference, research and learn about both) and then back into anorexia. eating disorders are very hard to get over. its will be most likely a life long disorder and like i said could go back between the two. hope this helps you out.
